AC Cobra GT Roadster

Legends never die. Auto Carriers is best known for the car that would became the basis for the legendary Cobra, the Ace, is making another comeback in its over 120-year history with the AC Cobra GT. The teaser images show the classic Cobra bodywork over a newly-developed extruded aluminum chassis by Icona Design Group and Cecomp Spa in Italy. Power will come from a V8 by a yet-unspecified manufacturer, making 645 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque. Buyers will be able to choose a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. The AC Cobra isn't as hardcore as the original — modern comforts like climate control, power windows, a removable hardtop, and a high-end infotainment system will be available.
