Apex AP-0 Coupe

British sports car maker Apex has unveiled a high-performance electric two-seater, the AP-0. Founded by Jason and Gary Leung and designed by Guy Colborne, the AP-0 has an impressive spec sheet, but the most impressive number, however, is the weight — or lack thereof. Electric cars are heavy, but the AP-0 is only 2,645 pounds, less than even the track-focused offerings from McLaren and Ferrari. This means the AP-0 makes the most of its 90 kWh battery and 649 horsepower, sprinting from 0-62 in only 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 190 MPH. You could theoretically pull up to 320 miles of range, but that isn't what the AP-0 is about. The carbon-fiber chassis, automatically-adjustable F1-style pushrod suspension, and compact dimensions mean that this is a car to be driven. The AP-0 also features an augmented reality HUD and LIDAR adaptive cruise for safety's sake. The AP-0 should enter production in 2022.
