Startup mobility company Arcimoto got started just over a year ago in Oregon with the three-wheeled Fun Utility Vehicle. Arcimoto's second model is the upcoming Mean Lean Machine, an electric trike with a suspension design that allows it to lean like a bicycle. Arcimoto's patented tilting technology gives the MLM more stability and a smoother ride or nearly any terrain, but even more unique is the pedal generator. The MLM has no throttle — simply pedal, and software controls the hub motors' output based on how fast you're pedaling. Pedaling also recharges the battery, giving the MLM a massive range of up to 200 miles combined with an auxiliary battery. Arcimoto is currently taking reservations for the MLM now, with a fourth-quarter 2022 delivery target. Watch the impressive MLM demo video here.
