Hauk Jeep River Raider

Just in case the rainfall of Spring 2011 becomes the norm instead of the exception, it might be a good idea to have a Hauk Jeep River Raider ($TBA) hanging around. Based on Jeep's legendary Wrangler, the River Raider is powered by a HEMI engine ranging from 405 to 636 hp, and features a full roll cage, four-point safety harnesses, Bullet proof Dana 60 axles with dual piston calipers, LED head- and taillights, a Baja light bar, an aluminum undercarriage armor system, custom made Raceline bead lock wheels with 40-inch Toyo Open Country MT tires, a fold-down tailgate, a custom half-cab tight top, and the River Raider engine Snorkel system, which will allow you to cross those new streams which were formerly roads. • Audi Q3

There's been a gaping hole in luxury makers lineups between entry-level sedans and entry-level crossovers and small SUVs. Audi is looking to change all that. Based on the affordable, compact VW Tiguan crossover, the new Audi Q3 (€30,000; roughly $43,500) improves on Veedub's formula with more agressive, Audi-esque styling, LED lighting, your choice of three turbocharged four-cylinder engines, and options like Quattro all-wheel drive, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, lane change assist, a park assist system, an MMI navigation system with a seven-inch color screen, Bluetooth, a hard drive, and GPS, adaptive cruise control, and adaptive xenon headlights. In other words, everything you'd expect, just in a smaller package.

  • SportChassis P4XL

Standard super-duty pickups simply not enough for you? Take a gander at the SportChassis P4XL ($TBA). With a gargantuan 174-inch wheelbase and 100-inch width, the P4XL is arguably the biggest pickup you can buy, and backs it up with heavy-duty features like an 8.3L Cummins diesel with 330 hp and 1,000 ft/lb of torque, shift-on-the-fly technology, a 17,500 lb. rear air suspension and 10,000 lb. front axle, a passive noise reduction system with Dynamat to keep the interior quiet, an optional adjustable-height hitch, a Pioneer AVIC-Z3 central touchscreen controller for audio, GPS, and telephony, and the assurance of knowing that should you be in an accident, your ride will likely drive straight over the car in front of you.
