Beastie Boys Book
Formed in 1981 in New York City, the Beastie Boys were one of the most influential hip-hop bands ever. Beastie Boys Book is their story, told for the first time in the words of the band. The book covers the band's unlikely ascent with their debut album Licensed to Ill to collaborations with icons like Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin. Mike D and AD-Rock provide first-hand accounts of the band's unique history, and the book itself is different than most, offering original illustrations, a cookbook by chef Roy Choi, a graphic novel, a map of Beastie Boys' New York, mixtape playlists, and pieces by guest contributors.
