BMW Motorrad has a completely new, large-displacement boxer engine under development, possibly for a new cruiser-type motorcycle. BMW teamed up with Revival for a one-off concept showcasing the new motor, and Revival delivered their signature style in spades. The Revival Birdcage draws inspiration from classic BMW racers of the 1920s and '30s, along with race cars of the '60s and their intricate tube frame chassis. The Birdcage features a hard-tail frame made of titanium and a cantilever front suspension, a trademark BMW design. The web-like frame puts the boxer motor on center stage while adding an almost delicate look. Nearly every piece on the Birdcage was custom made, the result of a six-month-long design and manufacturing process. BMW's big boxer will appear on a new bike sometime in 2020.
