The most popular seasonal beer that Boulevard Brewing makes is back, and it's a pretty good bet that it won't stick around for long. Chocolate Ale hits shelves again this week, just five years after its first release as a part of their Smokestack Series — when it was meant to be a one-time offering. But when Boulevard collaborated with Christopher Elbow Artisinal Chocolates in Kansas City, they got more than just another one-off. It's an American Strong Ale that challenges what you might already think you know about chocolate in beer, as nibs from the Dominican Republic were added during the brewing process, giving it a booming aroma and flavor.
