Brabus Invicto Armored SUV

There are parts of the world where getting to and from your job involves more than just the usual risk of an accident — like danger from small arms fire and explosives. For those high-risk applications, Brabus has developed the Invicto armored SUV based on the new Mercedes G63. Instead of welding armor plating to an assembled G-class, Brabus developed an armored shell that is inserted into the fully disassembled SUV. This gives the Invicto a VR6 blast protection rating, along with the ability to withstand 7.62mm rounds like those used in the AK-47. This kind of protection comes with a hefty weight penalty, adding 2,200 pounds for a total of 8,400, but Brabus bumps the twin-turbo V8's power to 789 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque to compensate. Inside you can specify anything from bare-bones military-style seating to leather swathed luxury befitting of a Mercedes.
