To celebrate Danner's first boot to use Gore-Tex membrane, Danner is releasing this special shoe. Forty years ago the Portland, Oregon-based brand introduced the waterproof, breathable fabric membrane to its hikers, and it's been a staple ever since. The 40th boot pays tribute to the originals, made with full-grain leather and a 100D nylon upper. Each pair is fitted with a Vibram Kletterlift outsole for maximum traction and comfort, along with a fiberglass shank for added support. Built for the long haul, the limited edition boot also features Danner's signature stitch-down construction for easy resoling after its served faithfully for years.
