Dendrobium D-1 Electric Hypercar

The Dendrobium D-1 was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and turned quite a few heads — and not just because of its styling. The startup is claiming some very ambitious numbers, aiming for 1,800 horsepower and 1,475 lb-ft of torque from a completely in-house designed electric drivetrain and storage system. In order to save as much weight as possible, the D-1 will use a carbon fiber tub and exotic alloys, with a targeted weight of 3858 pounds. Dendrobium will unveil the car to the public on August 30 at the Salon Privé, with no word on when production will begin.
