Ford v Ferrari Film-Used 1967 Ford GT40 Replica

It's not the real thing — but it's arguably better than the real thing. This 1967 Ford GT40 replica was built by South African shop Cape Advanced Vehicles on their bespoke stainless steel chassis and purchased for use in the hangar scene of the film — the car was never used in any racing scenes. It's also the only Ford-powered car to appear in the film, with a 427ci fuel-injected V8 making 426 horsepower at the wheels. The car arrived on set in the iconic Gulf racing livery and was wrapped in indigo blue to match the original GT40 portrayed in the scene, with the orange-and-blue colorway still perfectly intact under the wrap. Built as a tribute to the 1968 GT40 that placed second at Le Mans, this replica has a four-speed manual Colloti gearbox, exactly like the original. The car is currently for sale via Exotic Motorsports of Oklahoma.
