Freddie Mercury Studio Piano

The Yamaha C3 grand piano at Munich's Musicland Studios was the room's only piano, and Freddie Mercury used it to write "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and other material across The Game, Hot Space, and The Works. He wasn't the only one who touched its keys: The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Leonard Cohen, and Donna Summer all played it during sessions of their own. Producer Reinhold Mack kept the piano along with dozens of other pieces from his decades working alongside Mercury, and it's now heading to auction as part of an 82-lot collection, alongside the AKG C414 EB microphone used to record Mercury's vocals and a set of his handwritten solo lyrics.
