General Patton's Dodge WC57 Command Car

General George S. Patton led the Third Army during WWII, driving deep into Nazi Germany by the end of the war, and fighting some of the most bloody battles during the conflict. His personality and hard-charging character endeared him to his troops, while his statements divided his commanders and the public. Either way, General Patton emerged as a legend, and this Dodge WC57 claims to be a link in that Patton's history. While the all-important documentation explicitly linking the truck to legendary General Patton doesn't exist, this WC57 does have similar modifications that Gen. Patton used on his own command vehicle. After the war, the WC57 would be used as the base for the Dodge Power Wagon. Up for auction from the collection of the National Military History Center in Auburn, Indiana, this WC57 will have no reserve.
