The martini is made from gin and vermouth. It's shocking, then, when such a seemingly simple drink costs $250 — yet that's the case with the Reserve Martini from the Gold Room NYC's Art of the Martini menu. To (somewhat) justify the price, it's made from Nolet's Reserve gin, a small-batch spirit infused with rare botanicals such as saffron, as well as Dolin French vermouth. It's joined on the menu by a variety of inventive takes on the classic cocktail, including variants made with high-end vodka, tequila, and even soju.
