Designer Joey Roth launched his Ceramic Speaker in 2010. While the aesthetic has aged very well, the internals were due for an upgrade. Launched under the new Joey Roth Audio brand, the updated Speakers, like the original, feature a 4" paper diaphragm drive housed inside a ceramic cone, supported by a baltic birch base. These, however, also offer Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connection to all manner of audio sources and can be paired with an optional subwoofer for richer sound. The 2023 Ceramic Speakers are joined in the lineup by an updated Steel Tower speaker, and the company promises that a new line of Open Speakers will arrive at a later date.
