For an exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2022, Koto collaborated with garden designer Tony Woods of Garden Club London on a Garden Sanctuary. The compact, multi-functional space allows those inside to connect with nature through meditation, contemplation, or work. Its asymmetrical exterior is clad in charred-timber using the ancient Japanese philosophy Wabi Sabi which finds beauty in imperfection. In contrast, its 140-square-foot interior is lined in pale plywood panels, while expansive glazed panels link the inside to the surrounding garden. The cabin will be on display from May 23 through May 28 at the Royal Hospital and is also available for purchase.
