Land Rover Plug-In Hybrid SUVs

Land Rover's recently-revealed plug-in hybrid system will be making its debut in the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque. The new system combines a 1.5-liter three-cylinder internal-combustion engine and a 15 kWh battery pack with a 107 horsepower electric motor, with a total of 304 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. This gives the Range Rover Evoque P300e a 0-60 time of 6.4 seconds while the Land Rover Discovery P300e is a few ticks slower at 6.6 seconds. The Evoque and Discovery can travel 41 and 38 miles on battery power alone respectively, enough for your average daily commute. Total mileage is up to 168 MPG, with a charge time of just under 7 hours on a household electrical system. Land Rover is taking orders for the two hybrids in the UK now, with plans for wider release in the first quarter of 2021.
