Released in 2003, the Leica MP is the most recent of the company's storied line of M-Series film cameras. This Unique Gold version might be the most exclusive. All its metal parts have been galvanically gold-plated, while the grip area has been given an Ostrich leather covering. It's devoid of engravings, save for the hidden serial number on the winding lever, and comes with a special black Elmar-M 2.8/50mm lens with gold and red paint-filled engravings. Created as a collaboration between Leitz Photographica Auction and Leica AG, it arrives with a certificate of authenticity and is up for auction now with all proceeds going to a non-profit organization in Austria and Germany for charitable purposes.
