LeNell Santa Ana Camacho owned an upscale liquor store in Brooklyn's Red Hook neighborhood. Her journey to find the best stuff led her to Kentucky, and Drew Kulsveen of the Willett Distillery specifically. After discussions, LeNell ended up picking four barrels from the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, all produced in the 1980s. The resulting blend is one of the most sought-after releases out there, bottled at 50%, complex, and yet approachable. Bottle #42 of 228 is now up for sale, signed by LeNell herself, and comes with its original red tissue paper wrapping and COA.
