Lewis Hamilton's 2013 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Race Car

When Lewis Hamilton left McLaren for the midpack Mercedes F1 team in 2013, it was a slightly confusing decision to many observers of the sport. While on the upswing, Mercedes wasn't considered a contender, especially for one of F1's most promising drivers. What actually happened was that Hamilton and Mercedes kicked off one of the most dominant eras ever in the sport, winning eight straight constructor's titles and notching six of Hamilton's seven driver's titles. Now an important piece of that history is coming up for auction. Hamilton's 2013 Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W04 race car, which he drove to his inaugural win at Mercedes, will cross the block in Las Vegas this November. Hamilton drove the car to victory at the 2013 Hungarian Grand Prix, beginning a string of successes that pushed both the team and the driver into the history books.
