Lionel Messi's Record-Breaking Adidas Boots

In a match versus Real Valladolid on December 22, 2020, Lionel Messi scored his 644th goal as a member of FC Barcelona, breaking Pelé's 46-year-old record of most goals scored with a single club. He was wearing this pair of Adidas Nemeziz Messi 19.1 boots when it happened, and now they're coming up for auction. Adorned with now-peeling customization mentioning his wife's name and his son's names and their dates of birth, both of the cleats have also been signed by the legendary Argentine captain. The online auction is being held by Christie's, with proceeds going to benefit Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, or more specifically, its Arts and Health project for ill children.
