Detroit startup Livaq's EQUAD is a 4x4 with an electric motor built into each wheel. It reaches 60 mph in under 7 seconds and tops out at 75 mph, and its swappable battery carries it more than 170 miles and charges wirelessly at home. The body panels are carbon fiber instead of plastic, and the EQUAD is quiet enough, at under 40 decibels, to let you still hear nature around you as you drive the trail. Ground clearance is 12.5 inches, and with water-resistant electronics you may brave a shallow river crossing. Preorders are open.
