McLaren's 720S is one of the highest-performing cars you can buy. With lightning-fast reflexes, borderline insane performance numbers, and exotic styling, the only thing the 720S is missing is what it isn't missing — a roof. McLaren has rectified the latter, making the 720S a near-perfect supercar by adding a retractable glass roof panel that can also be tinted opaque or clear at the touch of a button. The 720S' carbon fiber tub is so strong that engineers didn't have to add any extra bracing to maintain the car's rigidity. They did add active buttresses and re-calibrated the rear spoiler to maximize aerodynamics whether the roof is open or closed, along with lightweight alloy wheels to offset a few of the pounds the glass top adds. Production begins in March 2019 with deliveries beginning soon after.
