Michael Schumacher's Audemars Piguet Royal Oak F1 Watch

Michael Schumacher is considered one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of his first World Drivers' Championship titles, and to celebrate, Christie's is auctioning some select timepieces owned by the racer, chief among them this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph. Gifted to Schumacher by Jean Todt, his early mentor at Ferrari, it features a white gold case and matching bracelet, along with several significant modifications. Ferrari's prancing horse logo appears on the subsidiary seconds dial, a numeral 1 in the 30-minute subdial is surrounded by six stars representing his World Championship at the time, and his red racing helmet is depicted on the 12-hour register. Presented in outstanding condition for its age, the watch also bears a personal engraving on the caseback. It will be sold as part of Christie's Rare Watches auction on May 13th in Geneva.
