The Polaris Sportsman XP 1000 High Lifter is made to do one thing — conquer whatever offroad terrain you can throw at it. With 29-inch tires, 13.5 inches of ground clearance, and arched dual A-arm suspension, the High Lifter is able to clear obstacles that would high-side lesser ATVs. A 952cc twin-cylinder engine puts 88 horsepower through a unique on-demand all-wheel-drive system and automatic CV transmission. A fully-shielded clutch and engine keep mud and debris out, while the rack-mounted radiator keeps everything cool by keeping it out of the line of fire. The High Lifter can also carry 290 pounds of gear and tow up to 1,500, along with a winch rated at 3,500 pounds. With specs like these, the Polaris High Lifter nearly splits the difference between ATV and side-by-sides.
