Porsche 911 Dakar 1970s Rally Wraps
Porsche 911 Dakar owners are going to want their Dakar to look like it touches more than the occasional gravel driveway. Thankfully, Porsche is offering three wraps that recreate classic rally liveries of the '70s — minus the legendary Alitalia scheme because that was Lancia. The first livery dates from 1971 when a factory works team stormed through 5,000 km over savanna, scrubland, and the highlands of Kenya. In 1974, the East African Safari Rally took place over three stages ranging from over 1,400 to 2,000 km; Swedish rally champion Björn Waldegård would finish second overall. Last is the iconic 1978 livery that Waldegård ran to fourth place — the Martini Racing Team colors. The wraps are available from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
