Porsche is making its official return to endurance racing in 2023. Long-time Porsche partner Penske will be operating two teams, one in North Carolina for the IMSA WeatherTech series, and one Mannheim, Germany, for the FIA World Endurance Championship. The latest in a long line of legendary endurance racers, the 963 takes over from the Le Mans-winning 919 that last raced in 2017. The new 962 is powered by a V8 engine and hybrid system, with nearly 5,000 test miles covered through the first half of 2022. The 963's debut is planned for the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona.
