British motorsport company Prodrive created a legend with the original works Subaru Impreza rally cars of the '90s and '00s. The blue and yellow cars won the late Colin McRae his only WRC championship and helped to popularize Japanese tuner culture around the world — along with gold wheels. Prodrive is now building 25 Subaru Impreza P25s, each one build on an original two-door Impreza chassis, with more power than the WRC cars and modern components. The 2.5-liter flat-four engine is based on Subaru's latest design, with rally-spec strengthened internals and making 400 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. The bodywork is made from carbon fiber and recalls the Impreza 22B and Prodrive's own Impreza P1. A semi-sequential six-speed paddleshift transmission, AP Racing brakes, Akrapovic titanium and stainless steel racing exhaust system, and Bilstein dampers round out the package.
