Porsche Vision 357 Speedster

Porsche kicked off its 75th-anniversary celebration with the Vision 357, a 718 Cayman-based reinterpretation of the car that started it all for Porsche. At the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Porsche is debuting the Vision 357 Speedster, an open-top version of the Vision 357 with an electric twist. Instead of the flat-six from the Cayman, the 357 Speedster uses the battery and motors from the 718 GT4 e-performance and Mission R. An electric motor on each axle gives the 357 Speedster 1073 horsepower in qualifying mode and 604 horsepower for up to 30 minutes in race mode, matching the 911 GT3 in lap times and top speed, according to Porsche. The 357 gets Porsche's traditional Speedster treatment, with a shortened windshield and a cloth tonneau cover over the passenger seat. After Goodwood, the car will be on display at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion in the US this fall.
