Rivian R2 Electric SUV

The Rivian R1S and R1T finally have a sibling with the launch of the R2 SUV. The R2 will have two battery sizes at launch, with the larger pack providing over 300 miles of range and a 0-60 time of under three seconds with the top-level powertrain. There will be single, double, and tri-motor options for the R2, housed in an all-new platform with high-pressure die castings and a structural battery that also serves as the floor of the passenger compartment. A self-driving system composed of 11 cameras, five radars, and a more powerful processing unit will be standard across the R2 range, with OTA updates to expand the capabilities of the system. The R2 is expected to begin deliveries in the first half of 2026, with reservations starting now for a $100 deposit.
