Shady Villa Hotel
Bunkhouse takes over one of Salado's most historic properties to reintroduce a local legend. Formerly the Stagecoach Inn, the motel has returned to its original name the Shady Villa Hotel. The 1950s motel is nestled among ancient oak trees on seven lush acres. Its 48 rooms have been lightly refreshed to enhance the building's authentic mid-century charm, merging modern textiles, lighting, and art with the original wood paneling, vintage pool bathrooms, and built-in furniture. Outside, guests can take full advantage of the retro oasis with a heated swimming pool, while an outdoor pavilion offers ping pong, darts, and a Pool Bar. The property's oldest building dates back to 1861 and houses the Stagecoach Restaurant, an iconic pit-stop serving a mashup of Old Texas favorites with modern techniques.
