Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop Watch
When the MoonSwatch launched in 2022, Audemars Piguet's Instagram commented on Swatch's post: "when do we launch?" Three years later, here it is. The Royal Pop is a pocket watch, not a wristwatch, available in eight versions across two styles: the Lépine and the Savonette. All share a 40mm bioceramic Royal Oak-shaped case with the signature Petite Tapisserie dial, eight hexagonal bezel screws, and Grade-A Super-LumiNova hands and indices, measuring 44 by 53mm when clipped to its calfskin lanyard. The watch that's been on the wrist of everyone from Jay-Z to Arnold Schwarzenegger now lives in your pocket, powered by a manually wound SISTEM51 movement with 15 patents, a 90-hour power reserve, and a Nivachron balance spring, its pop-art decorated caseback turning grey when it needs winding and gold when fully wound. Clip it to a bag, drop it into the included stand and use it as a desk clock. Dials swap between cases if you own more than one. One per person, per day, per store. Audemars Piguet is donating 100% of its proceeds to watchmaking preservation. People were already lining up 120 hours before doors opened.
