Twisted Automotive is taking its ultra-premium Land Rover builds somewhere a little greener with their limited-edition NAS-E Defender 90. Eschewing the LS V8, Twist has dropped a direct-drive electric motor making 214 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque into the Defender chassis along with their signature ground-up rebuild. A 60kWh battery pack gives the SUV a 200-mile range while retaining four-wheel-drive and a two-speed transfer case. The NAS-E rides on bespoke sliver Twisted Sport rims stopped by Twisted Performance brakes. A Bimini hood and NAS roll cage and three colors — Malibu yellow, Yosemite green, and Tahoe blue — celebrate California's legendary outdoors. Inside is a full infotainment system with upgraded interior and front three-across bench seat. 30 units of the NAS-E will be made, with plans to offer other Defender body styles with electric drivetrains planned.
