Marking what would have been David Bowie's 70th birthday, the EP No Plan was released on January 8th, 2017. Editing is a huge part of cinema. It can make, break, or totally change the story — witness the rise of post-release director's cuts and fan edits. But can an animated film be edited? There isn't any excess footage or multiple takes to whittled down to a concise master reel. In the 1980s, the idea of editing animated features began at Disney, and now the editor has taken on a role that's nearly opposite that of traditional movies.
