MetMo Eddy

In 1855, French physicist Léon Foucault discovered that moving a conductor through a magnetic field could generate circulating electrical currents within the metal, creating a force that resists its motion. G-Shock collectors have been swapping the DW-5600's resin band for cloth straps since long before Casio had any interest in doing it for them. The DW-5600MNC is Casio making it official. The same square case that's been in continuous production since 1987 now ships with a stretch polyurethane cross band that expands up to 2.7 times and a FIDLOCK magnetic buckle, the same one-handed snap closure found on cycling helmets and bike bags, covering wrists from 145mm to 215mm and wide enough to wear over a jacket sleeve. The bezel uses bio-based resin. The two colorways are the monochromatic black DW-5600MNC-1 with inverted display and the light gray and neon yellow DW-5600MNC-7A8. Everything else stays exactly as it was: 42.8mm resin case, 200m water resistance, LED backlight, and a five-year battery.
