Self-Taught Sierra Leone Teen Wows MIT

Completely self-taught, Kelvin Doe is an engineering prodigy from Sierra Leone, Africa. As the youngest person ever to be invited to MIT's Visiting Practitioner's Program for international development, this 15-year-old is already building his own batteries, generators and transmitters from parts he found in trash bins, and has created his own radio station, broadcasting news and music as DJ Focus from an RF transmitter he made himself.
