Nike Book 1 Rattlesnake Basketball Shoes
With subtle looks and a low-cut silhouette, you'd be forgiven for thinking Nike's Book 1 was a casual shoe, as opposed to being custom-built for NBA All-Star Devin Booker. This specific colorway was inspired by a rattler Booker encountered while hiking with his dog, with the snake's scales incorporated into the Swoosh design. The upper is crafted from workwear-inspired canvas and twill, with leather across the forefoot, a suede collar, and a book spine-inspired pull tab. A plastic shank and sidewall cage help with stability, while the top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel provides responsive cushioning.

Nike Tampa Bay Rays City Connect Collection
The Tampa Bay Rays began play in 1998 as the Devil Rays. As part of a 2007 rebrand, the "Devil" was dropped; at the same time the uniforms bearing the team's home disappeared, and at some point, so did their home black alternates. Their 2024 City Connect jerseys from Nike honor this past with a bold "Tampa Bay" graphic across the front and several subtle local elements. The historic Bro Bowl in Tampa is considered one of the first public skateparks in the world, so there's a skateboarding ray. The stylized TB lettering is a nod to the area's street art, the colorful gradient fade recalls the team's early jerseys, and the pelican graphic is an homage to St. Petersburg's flag and their Negro League team of the '40s and '50s. The collection includes replica jerseys and essentials like hoodies, tees, polos, and jackets.
