Vogel Paul Newman Roper Boot
Paul Newman commissioned his own pair of roper boots from Vogel in the 1960s, then had the shoemaker widen the neck and enlarge the pull tabs so he could get them on and off while riding his Triumph Bonneville, the bike he was photographed straddling outside of racing and film sets. Vogel's revival keeps that same profile: a Brown Ranch Hand leather upper over a leather outsole, a rounded toe, and a low, practical heel with no decorative stitching to distract from the hide. Each pair is handcrafted in the United States, individually numbered, and made to order in whole and half sizes 6 through 12. A portion of the proceeds supports Newman's Own Foundation, so the boot funds the same children's charities Newman spent his later years building.
