Volvo is committed to becoming an EV-only auto manufacturer by 2030, and the new Concept Recharge is their blueprint for getting there. Currently, Volvo's EVs share a platform with their internal-combustion cousins. The Concept Recharge is a pure EV, meaning the space-saving architecture of electric propulsion can be maximized as shown in the flat floor of the Recharge. The open, airy passenger compartment features a pillarless entry with suicide doors, something that probably won't make it to production due to safety concerns. Expect to see the sleek, aerodynamic styling language continue to be refined into Volvo's lineup as it introduces new EV models in the future.
