Wes Anderson: The Archives

Whether it's stop-motion or live action, Wes Anderson is known for his meticulous attention to detail. As such, he's kept a collection of props and other memorabilia that have helped his films create worlds unique to the characters that inhabit them. Wes Anderson: The Archives is the first retrospective exhibition devoted to his distinctive style. Curated from his personal archives, it will include over 600 objects ranging from sketches and storyboards to notebooks, puppets, models, and costumes. Highlights include the model used for exterior shots of The Grand Budapest Hotel, the vending machines from Asteroid City, and the Fendi fur coat worn by Margot Tenenbaum in The Royal Tenenbaums. The exhibition is being held at The Design Museum in London, produced in collaboration with la Cinémathèque française, and running from November 21st through July 26, 2026.
