Yamaha H20 XT Water-Powered Motorcycle Concept

The water-powered engine has been a holy grail of the automotive industry since the steam-powered carriage — an idea that has been largely forgotten with the rise of electric vehicles. Designer Maxime Lefebvre was hired by Yamaha to design a water-powered motorcycle, and now the official pictures are here. The engine uses a "closed-loop" water pump to continuously cycle water, similar to how internal combustion engines operate with explosive liquids. What powers the pump isn't known, but a good guess would be a rechargeable battery. Lefebvre's design takes inspiration from the 1975 Yamaha XT, a bike that would go on to win the Dakar Rally. Check out Lefebvre's Behance for more information and concepts.
