1965 Porsche 911 Coupe
This 911 was built in the model's first year of production. A short-wheelbase coupe delivered new to Competition Motors in Culver City, California, it comes from the founding generation of a car now in its seventh decade of continuous production. Finished in its original Dolphin Grey, which was repainted red at some point before a previous owner restored it back to the factory color, it's powered by a rebuilt 2.0-liter flat-six with twin Solex carburetors and 130 horsepower through a five-speed manual transaxle. Both engine and transaxle are matching numbers, documented by the original Kardex and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Pop-out quarter windows, Pepita cloth seat inserts, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and 1965-dated chrome ventilated wheels on Michelin XAS tires round out a car that reads exactly as it left Stuttgart. 74k miles shown, no reserve, and a Kardex that traces it back to the factory floor.
