1971 Land Rover Series IIA SUV

Land Rover's reborn Defender is set to drop for the 2020 model year, but this 1971 Series IIA looks like it just came off the showroom floor. This restoration by Classic Car Studio took the 1971 model down to the frame for a full-on rebuild. Every nut and bolt from the chassis to the 2.25-liter four-cylinder has been torn down, cleaned, and painted or replaced where necessary, making this old-school 4x4 as good as new. The body was painted in classic Poppy Red and outfitted with a new frame and steel wheels, while the interior sports all-new black seat coverings. A new Weber carburetor has been installed along with a rebuilt transmission and front and rear differentials. Ready to drive, this Series IIA is good for at least another 45 years or more.
