1991 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL 6.0 AMG Sedan

RM Sotheby's continues to expand its Youngtimer collection, adding this menacing Blue-Black Metallic 1991 Mercedes-AMG sedan to the lots up for auction. Made before Mercedes took a controlling interest in AMG in 1999, this full-size S-Class has AMG's top-of-the-line 6.0-liter "Hammer" V8, good for 375 horsepower — a staggering output for the period. This makes the sedan capable of nearly 190 MPH, a figure that holds up even now. Even better is the classic Mercedes styling with AMG touches like a widebody kit, AMG Aero wheels, and chromeless, blacked-out bodywork. With just over 67,000 miles on the odometer, this AMG is still fresh with a lot of life left and performance that is nothing to ignore even by today's standards.
