1993 Range Rover Classic SV Ultra Restoration

Range Rover's SV Ultra trim is normally reserved for the brand's newest, priciest SUVs, sold by invitation only. For this one-off, that treatment went onto a 1993 Range Rover Classic County, restored over 2,000 hours to match its modern descendant almost panel for panel. The exterior wears Titan Silver paint mixed with real aluminum flake for a liquid-metal look, while inside, the original leather gives way to Ultrafabrics in Orchid White and Cinder Grey, laser-etched into a perforated mosaic pattern across the seats. Range Rover left the mechanicals alone: the Classic still runs its factory 3.9-liter V8 and four-speed automatic, good for 182 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque, plus the electronic air suspension that made it one of the first short-wheelbase Range Rovers to get it. It heads to Monterey Car Week as part of a matched pair with a modern SV Ultra, both crossing the auction block together. The new SUV is faster. The old one still has all the character.
