1999 GG Duetto Sidecar
In 1994, Swiss motorcycle repair shop Grüter + Gut Motorradtechnik decided to build the world's most sophisticated sidecar. This is one of the roughly 30 they produced before closing in 1999. The GG Duetto Sidecar runs on a BMW K1100 engine that BMW backed with its own factory warranty, steers via a single-sided aluminum swingarm with hub-center steering instead of conventional forks, and adds a reverse gear, a feature almost no motorcycle offers. The GFK-laminate sidecar body opens via an electric hood to a BMW bucket seat, height-adjustable windscreen, and a lockable trunk. Showing 29,000 miles, this example comes with a clean California title, original sales and service records, factory marketing brochures, and coverage from Cycle World.
