On May 19, 2001, Apple opened its very first store at the Tysons Corner Center mall in Virginia. Over 20 years later, creative editor Michael Steeber takes us back to its grand opening with a new interactive experience. His Apple Store Time Machine is a downloadable game that transports players back through the company's history to visit four iconic Apple Stores. Users can explore the retail spaces at Tysons Corner, Stanford Shopping Center, Fifth Avenue, and Infinite Loop through 3D renderings. Each store has been accurately recreated to look as it did on its opening day, complete with iPad, iPhones, and Macbooks.
