BRABUS Bodo Supercar
Bodo Buschmann spent decades describing the Gran Turismo he wanted to build: a wide, low coupe with the proportions of a classic GT. He died in 2018 before seeing it completed. Seven years later, his son Constantin finished it, named it BODO, and debuted it at FuoriConcorso near Lake Como. Unexpectedly, BRABUS, the world's most famous Mercedes tuner, chose an Aston Martin Vanquish as the foundation. The aluminum monocoque stays; everything else is new. A fully bespoke carbon body replaces all but the roof panel from the donor car. The Vanquish's 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 was rebuilt with new turbos and a 3D-printed titanium exhaust, landing at 986 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque, good for 0-62 in 3.0 seconds and a 223 mph ceiling. A two-stage deployable rear wing doubles as an air brake at speed, backed by carbon-ceramic brakes. Inside, black leather and Nubuck cover nearly every surface, with Bodo Buschmann's signature embroidered into the door panels. A "77" emblem on the tail marks the founding year. Limited to 77 units worldwide, 10 to 15 per year.
