Byredo x Iittala Ljus Glass Collection
Ljus is Swedish for light, a fitting name for the collaboration between Nordic design houses Byredo and Iittala, a collection of handblown glass objects that showcase the interaction of flame, smoke, glass, and light. The centerpiece of the collection, the light refractor, encases a candle so the flame shows through the glass, and the fragrance diffuser vessel echoes that silhouette. A candle ornament rests on a lit candle to catch and scatter its flame, and a thick candle stand and an incense holder with the same ornate silhouettes complete the set. Each is made at Iittala's factory in Finland, so every one differs slightly, and all are designed to pair with Byredo candles and incense.
