Earthcruiser Extreme XTR Exploration Vehicle
Australia's Earthcruiser makes some of the best overlanders on the planet, from fully-appointed apartments on wheels to compact, chassis-mounted motorhomes. Their latest project is the Extreme XTR, the most compact expedition vehicle in their lineup. Earthcruiser chose a Toyota Land Cruiser pickup as the base, and a two-inch suspension lift, larger leaf springs, and fold-out steps are added before the one-piece camper is mounted. An 80-liter water tank sits between the frame rails, supplying a kitchenette with diesel range and refrigerator, slide-out toilet, and entryway wet bathroom to prevent tracking your outdoor escapades into the living area. To save as much space as possible, the bed is mounted in the popup section and a 400-ah lithium-ion battery pack is powered by a 540-watt solar charger and 3,000-watt inverter, while diesel powers the module's climate control. Earthcruiser plans to start production in July 2020.
